Each week I collect my random reflections, thoughts, and observations on leading, learning, and the church from my week and the weekend’s 4 services. There is no rhyme or reason, it is simply what was on my mind from my previous week…. I call it Pastor Leadership Notebook.
Who you follow as a leader has huge impact on how you lead your followers.
The church needs leaders who can be Prophet, Priest, and King simultaneously, balancing all three and emphasizing one or another based on need.
Ministry Managers simply focus on their ministry. A Ministry Leader focuses on their ministry but also the greater needs and demands of the church. They are church leaders who are empowered to lead outside of their ministry silos. I try to develop Ministry Leaders who can bring their leadership to any situation.
Ministry Managers focus on their ministry. Ministry Leaders can connect-the-dots from their ministry to the other ministries, leaders, and people.
If you want your church to grow by multiplication, don’t build or plan to grow by addition.
Build systems, create plans, and develop teams that can handle church growth through multiplication and exponential growth.
Build a CiNO- Change is Normal Organization
God already knew the mistakes you’ll make in ministry, and He still chose you.
Faith in the flesh leads to failure…the power is leaning on the Lord.
“Before you are a leader, success is all about growing yourself. When you become a leader, success is all about growing others.”- Jack Welch
Leadership is not demanded…it is deserved.
Creative ideas are even more appealing when I trust the person who offered it.
