Each week I collect my random reflections, thoughts, and observations on leading, learning, and the church from my week and the weekend’s 4 services. There is no rhyme or reason, it is simply what was on my mind from my previous week…. I call it Pastor Leadership Notebook.
A Leader says, “Do this for me.” A Servant Leader says, “I have done this for you so that you may do it for others.” Servant-Leaders make others the hero…make others feel like they are the leader. Influence begins with Service: The more you serve, the more influential of a leader you become.
Keeping Your Lead
We Keep our Lead as leaders when we simultaneously balance… Historian, Current Event Analyst, Futurist and Prophet, Priest, King We Keep Our Lead as leaders when we… Keep in prayer. Keep in the word. Keep connected to our small group. Keep our selves accountable. Keep others accountable. Keep setting goals based on what has happened, what is happening, and what can happen. Keep thinking about the Prophet, Priest, and King in us all. Keep thinking about the Prophet, Priests, and Kings in front of us that we lead and serve. Keep your lead…it’s what makes you a leader.
What Are We Building
Jesus is not building a place, a facility, or a property…He is building a people! God is much more interested in you building disciples than building buildings. God makes himself tangibly known through His Church.
Theology of Leadership
Jesus distilled his leadership theology and strategy in two words…”Follow Me”
We are all being Measured for Ministry
