Great leaders are Learners, Visible, Present, Courageous, and Servants.
Some leaders say, “I cast vision and delegate the rest.”…you can’t delegate these:
How do you delegate LEARNING?
No one can learn what you need to learn. That comes from experience or intentional study.
How do you delegate being COURAGEOUS?
No one can be courageous for you. Your team can’t do it for you. You must be if you are to lead.
How do you delegate being VISIBLE as a leader?
For your vision to succeed people need to be able to see you to follow you and stay on course
How can you delegate being PRESENT?
You can’t delegate being engaged, sensing, aware. No one can do that for you. Leaders are present.
How can you delegate being a SERVANT?
A Servant Leader can say, “I have given you an example to follow. Do as I have done to you.” John 13:15. You can’t delegate serving those you lead.
If serving is below you, then leadership is beyond you.
A good leader delegates…a great leader know what he must not delegate.
I am sure you could many more to the list…what would you add?
